Jammu, Aug 6: All Five Chairmen of SC Community of Ramnagar constituency Blocks today in a joint statement alleged maltreatment and atrocities against SC community residing in the various Blocks of the said constituency during the last few years.
It was stated that despite unabated assaults, threats and misbehavior with SC people in Ramnagar, particularly females, no cognizance whatsoever was being taken by the concerned authorities. The signatories to the statement included Gita Devi Bhagat, BDC Chairperson Block Chanunta, Neelam Kumari, Chairperson Block Parly Dhar, BDC Chairperson Sushma Devi Block Kulwanta, Dina Nath BDC Chairperson Block Majalta and Des Raj BDC Chairperson Block Ramnagar.
The said Chairpersons were holding a joint press conference in Jammu today.
