JKTMA criticizes education authorities for not considering demands | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 11: State President of Jammu Kashmir Teachers/Master Association (JKTMA) Rakesh Singh and State vice president Vivek Gupta while presiding over the virtual meeting of teachers and masters expressed their resentment against the education authorities for not considering the genuine demands of teachers and masters despite repeated requests. " We have high hopes from Dynamic and teacher- friendly officer worthy Principal secretary Dr. Asgar Samoon regarding DPC of teachers and masters in all subjects particularly in science stream as many posts of Lecturers are lying vacant which is also adversely affecting the studies of senior secondary students " Singh added. State general secretary Vikram Gupta said that this is first time in history of education department that No DPC of teachers to masters has occurred even after the lapse of 6 years which has degraded the moral of teachers and suggested that overall cadre strength of masters should be increased by creating 3200 regular posts of masters to absorb all the SSA headteachers on that posts. Forum strongly opposed the transfer policy in favour of Rehaber -Taleem - Teachers and reiterated that their nature of appointment is village level school specific due to which SAC decision also clearly denied their transfer policy and also their transfer is against the spirit and nature of guidelines of erstwhile SSA scheme. Singh urged Lieutenant Governor to frame regularistaion Policy in favour of Sakshar Bharat mission employees preferably in Pre primary schools and also continue the services of already engaged vocational teachers keeping in view importance of vocational subjects in recent New education policy. |
