Pakistan terror outfits drop weapons via drones to supply in Kashmir, 3 Lashkar men caught in Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Sept 19: Security Forces in Rajouri have achieved a major success on Counter Terrorism front and arrested three terrorists of Lashkar e Toiba outfit recovering a huge quantity of arms and ammunition from their possession. Police said that a specific information was received by Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri that there is some suspicious movement of terrorists in the general area of Gurdan near Rajouri town after which Rajouri police alongwith Indian Army’s 38 Rashtriya Rifles launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the general area of Gurdan. During the search operation, 03 persons were seen moving in suspicious condition having a bag each with them. On seeing the search parties, 03 suspects tried to open the chain of the bag and attempted to flee away in different directions whereas one of them threw a hand grenade on the search party which did not explode. Before the terrorists could fire on the search parties using weapons, brave personnel of search parties managed to nab all of them who on questioning disclosed their name as Rahil Bashir @ Ayan Bhai son of Bashir Ahmed Wani resident of Jamia Mohalla of Tikken Pulwama, Amir Jaan @ Hamza son of Mohammad Sadeeq Yaru resident of Lehlara Kakapora in Pulwama and Hafiz Younis Wani @ Zubair son of Mushtaq Ahmed Wani resident of Killer Shopian. During search from bag of Rahil Bashir @ Ayan Bhai, 01 AK 56 Riffle with 03 AK magazine with 90 rounds and 01 AK 56 Riffle, 01 Chinese pistol, 01 pistol magazine with 10 rounds, 02 hand grenade, 1 pouch and 40,000 Indian rupees were recovered whereas from the possession of Amir Jaan @ Hamza, 01 AK 56 rifle with 03 magazine, 90 rounds of AK, 01 hand grenade and 30,000 Indian currency was recovered. Amir @Hamza is the one who threw hand grenade on the search party. Similarly, from the possession of Hafiz Younis Wani @ Zubair, 01 pistol with 02 magazine, 20 rounds and 30,000 Indian currency was recovered. BSF, which mans the borders, has been put on high alert as the recurrence of weapon-dropping drone sorties have gone up. A top official said eight such sorties were conducted in recent times and have come to notice. One such drone was recently shot down in Kathua by the BSF while three drone sorties were intercepted near Jawahar tunnel apart from the latest.
