VRS Union reiterates demand to release pending dues | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 21: VRS Union Jammu has strongly criticized the adamant attitude of the administration and Transport higher authorities Transport Department for not addressing the long pending issues of the voluntary retired employees of SRTC. Addressing a press conference here today, VRS Union president Dev Raj Bali said that the case of VRS employees was not properly processed and they were ignored in the recent package announced by the Government of J&K. He said that not only they were ignored in the package but they have not been given the pension benefits after getting retired from the J&K SRTC following superannuation or VRS/GHS, adding that in the recent package of Rs1350 crores only the higher ones are given benefits/included but at the lower level like us were ignored, whereas the UT Govt of J&K had announced that all will be benefitted from this package but we were again deprived from clearing our pending dues. He appealed to the Lt Governor of UT J&K to release their payment of COLA arrears amounting to Rs 16,76,49,497 for VRS /GHS. |
