JKTJAC demands restoration of Old Pension Scheme | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 22: A virtual online meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) held today. In the meeting, all the executive members and district presidents of the organization were present including its president Vinod Sharma and chairman Abdul Aziz Gazi. A threadbare discussion was held in the meeting where every member put forth his views about the issues of the teachers in general and the NPS employees in particular. While speaking on the occasion Vinod sharma demanded the restoration of old pension scheme in favour of all the employees appointed on or after January 2010 in J&K and 2003 in rest of the states of India. He said that the pension is the only support of the employees in their old age days after their retirement, so all these employees should be included in the old pension scheme. While addressing the executives of JKTJAC its chairman Abdul Aziz Gazi said that JKTJAC will fight tooth and nail for the restoration of old pension scheme in favour of the employees who are under NPS at present and start its programmes for the issue very soon . He also appealed the employees of the UT in general and teachers in particular to support and strengthen JKTJAC so that we will be able to fight for it efficiently and effectively. Meanwhile, it was also decided unanimously by all the executive members and district presidents present in the meeting that JKTJAC will fight the restoration of old pension scheme from its own banner and follow the policy and programmes of JKTJAC regarding the issue. |
