Kisan Sabha extends support to bandh call on Sept 25 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 22: Kisan Sabha has extended support to the All India Bandh call for 25 September 2020 announced by the All India Kisan Sangharash Coordination Committee in protest against the anti-people and anti-farmer bills got passed by the Modi Govt in Parliament ignoring the great resentment against these bills in the country. In a meeting presided over by its president Hari Chand Jalmeria, Kisan Sabha termed the three Bills: (i) Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill 2020, (ii) Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce( Promotion and Facilitation) Bill 2020, (iii) Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill 2020 as anti-people and anti-farmers in the long run. This effort of those running the Union Govt. is to open gates of free trade to the big business houses in the agriculture sector for profit motive. This, in no way would be beneficial to the farmers and the poor people of the country who are already under great strain and stress. This is also to badly affect the food security system in the country. Only some big companies and big traders are to get benefitted through of exploitation of the farmers and poor people. |
