Govt establishes committee to review suspension cases of All Indian Service officers | | | JAMMU, Sept 22: The Jammu and Kashmir government has established a review committee to review the suspension cases of officers of All Indian Services, which is to be headed by Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir. As per the order, issued by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi IAS Commissioner/Secretary to the Government which reads, “In terms of Rule 3(8) (c) of All India Services (Disciplines and Appeal) Rules, 1969 and in supersession of all previous orders on the subject, the sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a committee comprising the following to review the cases of suspension of officers of All India Services” Further as per the order, the Chief Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir will act as Chairman, Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education Department will act as Member and Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department will act as Secretary. As per the order, “The Home Secretary /Director General of Police, J&K shall be co-opted as Members in a case concerning a member of the Indian Police Service (IPS)”. While as the Administrative Secretary, Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment/principal Chief Conservator of Forest, J&K shall be co-opted as Members in a case concerning a member of the Indian Forest Service (IFoS). Also, the Committee shall discharge the functions and follow the procedures for review of the cases placed before it as laid down in the All India Services (Disciplines and Appeal) Rules, 1969. The concerned departments shall submit agenda note with full details of the case for consideration of the Committee.
