Roll back anti-farmers’ bills: AJKKU

JAMMU, Sept 27: A webinar on “Recent Farmers Bills Impact Thereof” was organized by All J&K Kissan Union (AJKKU) here today. The Agro experts, local self-government representative, social and political activists, farmers and office bearers of AJKKU participated and presented their views. The webinar resolved to appeal the President of India to return all bills passed by the parliament for reconsideration of the India Parliament, after constituting and seeking opinion of the select committee consisting of both the houses i.e Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha.
While speaking on the occasion Chairman of AJKKU, Ashok Sharma former MLA/MLC urged upon the government and the President of India to roll back the anti-farmers bills, ensuring redressal of the demands of agitating farmers all over the country before it takes and ugly situation reaching point of no return. He added that already the farmers are subjected to the situation arisen due to ill plite and increase of suicide cases. Neither the parents desire nor the children of the farming community want to continue with their profession, one time regarded as most prestigious one. Chander Mohan Sharma, an Agro expert in his address explained the positive as well negative aspects of the Bills viz-a-viz the protesting farmers. Vinod Misra, a political and social veteran in his address appealed the President of India Sh. Ram Nath Kovind to review the bills passed by the Parliament.
