Naqeeb flays PM over Hathras rape case, Farm Bills, unemployment | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Oct 2: Congress in Kishtwar today paid tributes to the Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary in a programme held here today. On the directions of Party High Command, the programme was conducted by Kishtwar Congress under the leadership of Advocate Mohammad Asif Naqeeb, Ex General Secretary and Member Co-ordination Committee Kishtwar in which the participants threw light on the contributions of Mahatma Gandhi. Advocate Naqeeb condemned the action of UP Police for arresting former Party President Rahul Gandhi Ji while he was on the way towards Hathras to meet the family of the rape victim. He termed the arrest unconstitutional and barring the party leader to hold peaceful protest as undemocratic. Naqeeb said that UP Government on one hand reportedly denied justice to the gang rape victim who died couple of days back and on the other hand bars the people from holding peaceful protests. He said the UP Government has miserably failed to do justice with the teenage girl and to hide its bottlenecks is crushing the rising voices against it. He demanded that the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Aditiyanth should resign on moral grounds. Naqeeb has also accused the BJP Government for anti-farmer Bills, terming it as a mass blunder in the farming sector. He said that farmers are the backbone of our nation and the present regime did a big blunder with the farmers. “The BJP-led government has enslaved the entire farming sector of the Nation to the corporate sector,”. Naqeeb also criticized the central government for its failure to take concrete steps to control the unemployment in the country. The Congress leader appealed to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to immediately withdraw anti-farmer Bills and take some steps to tackle the unemployment in the country.
