JKCA District Body least concerned about future of budding cricketers: Cheema | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 12: Iqbaldeep Singh @ Aman S Cheema - President Sher e Kashmir Cricket Club (SKCC) affiliated to Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, affiliated to JKCA Jammu District Association on Monday expressed serious concern over the current state of affairs into the newly elected Body of Jammu District. In a statement issued the SKCC President expressed dismay over the functioning of the newly elected district body of the JKCA, who he alleged was busy in making hollow statements in the sections of Press/Media and were least concerned about actually promoting Cricket on ground in Jammu District. The new body was elected on 15th of September and addressed a press conference on 28th September but nothing is visible on ground from the JKCA district body. Its’ almost a month but nothing concrete has happened. Pertinently, Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association recently conducted elections and formed District bodies of the association. “Call it an irony or bad luck of budding cricketers and youth of Jammu district that at times when the Jammu District body of the JKCA Jammu was busy in making hollow claims and hitting media headlines, the District Srinagar Body of the JKCA that was elected around same time had already started talent hunt programme by conducting trials of the budding cricketers of Srinagar District..They are also organising an inter district cricket tournament," said Cheema.
