Jammu, Oct 12: A team of Vishwakarma Library and Research Centre, (VLARC), New Plot held awareness Camps in Tehsil Pancheri, Distt Udhampur to inspire the people for good education and listen the plight of remote people. First meeting was held in Udhampur, second at Pancheri and third at Kothi Lehar. Speaking to the participants, Balwant Kataria (Educationist) told that Library wants to touch last man in the row. He said that Library is committed to its responsibility towards rural masses. Interacting with students and parents, he inspired them to get good education and offered all possible help to the poor students. Raman Chalotra, Vice Chairman of the Library had arranged Note Books and Ayurvedic medicines which were distributed free of cost to the marginalized families. Grievances of the people were listened. Dire need of a degree College at Pancheri was projected by the gathered people. On this occasion, Raj Kumar Chalotra, General Secretary, Vishwakarma Sabha, who also accompanied the team, said that Tehsildars in District Udhampur are unnecessarily delaying the cases of OBC certificate and thus depriving the students from their legitimate right of reservation. He said, for central OBC certificate, “salary of the employees is not taken into consideration” but Tehsildars are reluctant to apply this ruling and rejecting the genuine cases. One such case is pending in Tehsil Ram Nagar. |
