Jammu, Oct 26: Aatmanirbhar Skills - a venture for employment creation among unemployed youth was inaugurated today at Jammu today. The proceedings began with lighting up of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana by Chief Guest Swami Kumar Ji of Geeta Satsang Ashram. The guests of honour present in the virtual Zoom meeting were Kuldeep Khoda (Former DGP, J&K) , Prof. Ashok Aima (VC- Central University Jammu), Dr. R.L.Hangloo (Ex- VC Allahabad University) and Raj Nehru (VC Vishwakarma Skill Development University, Haryana). Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest applauded the efforts of the group of individuals who have initiated this project. Aatmanirbhar Skills is an effort to provide skills to the unemployed youth of the UT of J&K, with an objective to make the youth empowered through technology so that they can become self-reliant and can develop entrepreneurship qualities and thus, can create jobs for themselves and for others. The Chief Guest, emphasizing the need for our youth to attain self-sustaining skills, appreciated the efforts of Aatmanirbhar Skills as a timely step in the right direction. Aatmanirbhar Skills is an operative arm of Kashyap Jambhu Koushal Nirmaan Trust (KJKN Trust) with six founder members, namely - Ashutosh Hanjura, K.K.Bhat, Vir Saraf, Murarji Kaul, Vivek Kaul and Ravinder Tikoo. The Trust was established in 2017 with an objective to make our youth employment-worthy by learning appropriate skills. |
