FFMA pays tributes to Patel, Indira Gandhi | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 31: Freedom Fighters Memorial Association (FFMA) on Saturday paid rich tributes to Iron Man and the architect of Modern India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Iron Lady and Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at Dogra Shourya Shaheedi Sthal, Amphalla. The function was organized by FFMA Chairman, Ved Gandotra, Vice Chairman Rajiv Mahajan and President R.C Puri. On this occasion, executive members Th. Karnail Chand, Pritam Sharma, S.S Balwal, Prabhat Kapahi and Karan Gupta of FFMA besides prominent personalities were present. Speaking on the occasion, Rajiv Mahajan said that if people are able to see a United India now, it is entirely on account of the wisdom, sensibility, and planned skills of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He pointed out that Patel contributed significantly in strengthening the cooperative movement in the country, adding that the country’s first home minister dedicated himself to the welfare of farmers. FFMA also remembered former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. “Gandhi created history by providing an able and dynamic leadership to the country and was acknowledged a strong and visionary leader in the world. She was truly the leader of the all sections of plural Indian society and stood by her principles and laid down her life for the same,” Speakers maintained. |
