Jammu, Oct 31: To mark the birth anniversary of the “Iron Man of India”, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Govt. Degree College Khour celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. On the occasion NCC Cadets, NSS volunteers & Sports students along with principal & staff of the college participated in Run for Unity.
The 2 KM Run was flagged off by Prof. Hans Raj, principal of the college. It began from GDC Khour and culminated at college Sports ground via moving through Nai Basti, Narayana, Khour. The purpose of the Run was to pay tributes to the efforts made by V.B Patel to unite India and to spread the message of oneness among masses. The students along with the Principal & staff of the College also took the unity Pledge.
The programme was coordinated by NCC officer Prof. Arun Sharma, NSS PO Prof. Gurvinder Kour and HOD Physical Education & Sports Prof. Goutam Sharma. |
