Gear up for Zila Parishad polls, Jugal asks party cadre | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATRA, Oct 31: Senior Congress leader and former minister Jugal Kishore Sharma on Friday asked party cadre to gear up for the forthcoming Zila Parishad polls. Addressing a block level meeting of Congress workers from Painthal, Jugal Kishore Sharma appealed the activists to get united for the upcoming Zila Parishad elections and give their hundred percent to ensure victory for the party candidate. Sharma said that unity among the workers is of paramount importance even though it is not clear whether the elections will be held on party basis or non-party basis, adding that whatever the nature of the polls the united efforts are needed to be successful. “The polls could be held anytime. We should prepare for the elections. Put up a united and spirited effort for ensuring success for the party,” Sharma told the participants at the convention. Senior Congress leader said that it is unfortunate that the election process initiated by the government is biased and it needs to be reconsidered as some of the panchayats are wrongly included in the Painthal Block. Other prominent Congress leaders and workers who were present on the occasion included Sardari Lal Dubey, Rajesh Sadhotra, Varun Magotra, Block President and ex-Sarpanch Ramesh, Sarpanch Rajinder Thappa, Sarpanch Jarnail Singh, Sudesh Kumar, Suresh Mengi, ex-Sarpanch Omkar Singh and Manoj. |
