IGP Jammu administers pledge to officers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 31: J&K Police today observed National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) across Jammu Zone. The main function was held Glushan Ground Jammu this morning where IGP Jammu Shri Mukesh Singh-IPS took the salute of the parade and administered oath to the Police officers and Jawans. Different contingents took part in a colourful march past. Speaking on this occasion, the IGP Jammu said that this function alongwith other similar functions across the country have been held to pay tributes to the Iron Man of India” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, first Home Minister of the country who made it possible to integrate 562 Princely States into one unit. He said that the present form of “shrestha Bharat” is because of his efforts and contribution. He said that J&K Police has given sacrifices for maintaining internal security and sovereignty of the country and with today’s pledge we will continue to move on the path of our service to the nation with more vigour to strengthen our country. Similar types of functions were also organized in all Police districts of Jammu province.
