| HPC Distributed Relief Materials to fire victims at Gurez | | |

Gurez, Oct 1: Relief materials were distributed by NHPC Kishanganga Power Station to the fire-affected families of the Gurez area of Bandipoda district.
A fire broke out in the houses of some people of Gurez area a few days ago and all the items kept in their house were burned to ashes by fire. Local people and local administration requested NHPC CMD Mr. Abhay Kumar Singh to assist the families of the victims.
Shri Singh immediately gave directions to help affected families. NHPC provided immediate CSR&SD assistance to the affected families. GIC sheets and blankets were distributed to the victims' families in the presence of the district administration. This action was appreciated by the locals and district administration.
NHPC CMD Shri A.K. Singh always showed his interest to help the people of the project area through CSR and ensured that the benefits of CSR & SD activities goes to the people who really deserve it.
It is noteworthy that significant work is being done by NHPC in the development of local areas through CSR & SD. A number of works have been done by all the power stations in Jammu and Kashmir in their adjoining areas for the benefits of the project area people., Masks, sanitizers etc. are being distributed in the areas around the power station during this period of the COVID-19 epidemic. Awareness programs in collaboration with the local administration are also being conducted on "how to protect from COVID 19". As a celebration of its foundation day, NHPC had planned to organize Mass Blood Donation Camps on 7th Nov 2020. |
