JAMMU, Nov 1: Former Minister and Chairman J&K Kissan Congress, Ch Gharu Ram slammed BJP for the new Land Laws for Jammu and Kashmir and said that this would led to exploitation of the resources of J&K.
In a statement issued here today, the former Minister said that the BJP led Central Government has been betraying the people of the erstwhile State and has once again backstabbed the innocent people of J&K by passing the Land Laws which is visible to everyone out there. He expressed his resentment and demanded immediate repealing of all laws regarding the purchase of land and other laws entitled to the residents of erstwhile J&K state.
“BJP led government has failed the people of J&K and to protect the land rights. The new land laws are unacceptable and the residents of J&K are totally against such anti-people laws and the same must be wiped out without any further delay,” he said.
“Even the tokenism of domicile has been done away with when purchasing non-agricultural land & transfer of agricultural land has been made easier,” Gharu Ram said. “The Central Government is misleading the people of J&K and has now passed the land laws without taking people, political parties and stakeholders into confidence, who are and will be against such laws,” he said. |
