Jammu, Nov 1: An International Exhibition of Art by Women Artists- 2020 (Online) organized by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu was inaugurated by Adwaita Gadanayak, Director General, National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi on 1st November, 2020. One hundred and eighteen art works by female artists of ten countries are displayed in the exhibition.
The exhibition curated by Sh. O P Sharma, Founder Director Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts, Jammu will be on display upto 21st November, 2020.
In his inaugural address Adwaita Gadanayak said, ‘Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts, Jammu under O P Sharma, Director, is doing a great work of organizing International Exhibition of Art by Women Artists (Online), by connecting the artists of the world during the hard times of Covid- 19 Pandemic.’
He wished more endeavours to be conducted by JKCCA in future also. O P Sharma, Director, JKCCA said that the role of female artists taking part in artistic activities in a large number needs appreciation and be recognized by the organizations working for the development of their artistic pursuits. He added that JKCCA is committed to proceed with the art, culture and languages in future also. |
