JKPA holds meeting, discuss demands | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 3: A meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Pensioner Association (JKPA) was held in which long pending demand of pensioners and as well as the Govt. employees to enhance Medical Allowance (MA) from 300-1000 at par with Centre Govt. Employees and Pensioners was discussed. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of S. Amrik Singh Ex. Leader of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC). The Pensioners Association members shown great resentment over Central Government attitude towards the employees and pensioners. “What extra given to the J&K Employees and Pensioners after removing article 370 and 35A, the 7th pay commissions was already given to the state employees w.e from 1-4-2016 issues under SRO 193, w e from 1-4-2017 with arears except some allowance including MA for which we are still depriving even after removing article 370 and special status”, they said. Some Leaders of Centre misleading the people of J&K that we have given all the benefits of Centre to J&K employees, the Medical allowance at par with Central Govt. Employees/Pensioners is still pending moreover the daily wagers/contractual employees are still on road. No body is bothering who have served in the different deptt. More then 15-25 years, they said. The Pensioners Association Appealed the Centre and LG of J&K UT to look into the genuine demands of pensioners. Meeting was attended by Ex. Leaders of EJAC S. Balwinder Singh, Darshanlal Sharma, Sudesh Sharma, M.A. Rather, Ghulam Mohi-u-din Mir, Ashok Kumar, Dev Raj, Chanchal Singh Pritam Singh Rathore, V N Khajuria, Narinder Singh Jandraia and others. |
