Dharmarth Trust to organize special Katha programme on Karwa Chauth | | | Early times Report
JAMMU, Nov 3: On this auspicious occasion of Karwa Chauth, Dharmarth Trust is organizing a special Kathha programme in the Raghunath Ji Temple for the women observing fast on this day. President of Dharmarth Trust said that adequate arrangements are put in place for the safety of women and visiting pilgrims with regard to social distancing and other SOPs to contain the spread of Covid-19. Head Priest of Raghunath ji Temple informed that Karwa Chauth is a popular Hindu festival celebrated predominantly in Northern India, and this year the festival will be celebrated across the country on November 4. The festival is a celebration of marriage, during which the wife fasts for the day as prayer for a healthy and long life for her husband. He informed that this year, the Trust is organizing a special Katha programme for the women observing fast in the Raghunath ji Temple on the occasion of Karva Chauth in the Sidhivinayak Ganesha Temple in the premises of Raghunath ji Temple. He requested the women to participate in the Katha programme and seek blessings of Ganpati ji. It is pertinent to mention here that Raghunath Temple is a well-known holy shrine located in Jammu. Raghunath Mandir is one of the largest temple complexes of the Northern part of India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Rama, who is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. |
