Social activist seeks to manage traffic chaos | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 5: A social activist Tajinder Singh has sought pragmatic technological supported initiatives to stem the rot that crept into unauthorized parking, traffic congestion and blatant violation of traffic rules to give some relief to people of Jammu and Kashmir. Tajinder said inadequate action by the authorities over the years have made roads and lanes unsafe for the people and situation is bound to aggravate further in not very distant future with induction of more and more vehicles every year. He further said that transport department should amend its rules to restrict sale or registration of domestic vehicles only in case of prospective buyers prove availability of garage or sufficient space in drive ways in their houses whosoever intend to buy new vehicle. |
