JAMMU, Nov 5: To ensure adequate security arrangements in and around the Civil Secretariat, Raj Bhawan and other important areas in Jammu City/district ahead of the darbar move, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone held a review meeting at Zonal Police Hqrs, Jammu. IGP Jammu Mukesh Singh held detailed deliberations with the Jammu based officers while reviewing police/security arrangements for the opening of Darbar move offices at Jammu. During the meeting a powerpoint presentation was given by the SSP Jammu with regard to arrangements being made around Civil Secretariat, Jammu and also on the opening day of Darbar move offices to deal with any law and order situation. Directions were imparted to the participants to ensure elaborate security measures in District Jammu including Border areas, to ensure adequate Police/Security/ Law & Order arrangements in and around the Civil Secretariat, Raj Bhawan and at various Chowks, junctions and other important areas in Jammu City. Singh also briefed the officers about various challenges (i.e. Ongoing strikes by PHE/Contractual Lecturer/Teacher, Privatization of Power Development Department, etc) which is likely to be faced in the winter capital of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
