Jammu, Nov 30: The 551st birthday anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, Founder of Sikh religion by several political and social organizations celebrated in Jammu and Kashmir. Several senior representatives from different political, social groups and NGOs participated. Senior leaders and prominent personalities from J&K including M/s. Udai Chand, Bansi Lal Sharma-Advocate, Sdr.Paramjit Singh Marshall, Ms. Anita Thakur, Mohd. Iqbal Chowdhary, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Mohd. Masood Andrabi, Yashpaul Kundal, Prof.Bhim Singh and others paid homage to one of the greatest messengers of peace, humanity, love, equality who founded Sikhism in Bharat. Prof.Bhim Singh had personally seen the light of Sikhism while travelling around the world for five years on peace missions. He said that free lungers/meals are being served in every place in the world, even if there is one Sikh residing. He said that he shared and enjoyed sharing food (lungar) even in the Congo, Korea, Africa almost in every town in Europe. Prof.Bhim Singh appealed to the younger generation to read and study the concept of Sikhism, which was founded by Guru Nanak Dev over 500 years’ ago and its’ scientific message that it has delivered to the world.
