SUF extends support to Bharat Bandh call given by farmers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 7: An emergency meeting of Sikh United Front J&K and an amalgam of Various Sikh Organizations J&K held under the chairmanship of S. Sudershan Singh Wazir Chairman Sikh United front J&K. While speaking on the occasion Wazir extended their full support to Bharat Bandh call by farmers on December 8. He said it is a fight for all “Annadatas” in the country and the black laws must be withdrawn and the new farm laws would “destroy agriculture by mortgaging it to corporates”. He made a fervent appeal to the people’s of the J&K particularly and all over India generally to extend their full support to the farmers cause, who he said, have waged a decisive battle for justice against an autocratic and arrogant regime. Wazir said “You are all aware that the farmers of this country have waged a life and death battle. They are sitting under the open sky, on the roads leading to Delhi under sub-zero temperatures continuously since November 25, 2020 and protesting at the Delhi border peacefully. Among them are aged, infants, women, children and ailing. They are determined to continue their struggle until the union government withdraws the three farm laws and the law amending the Electricity Act”. He said the farmers are following the slogan ‘Do or Die’. Some of the farmers have already lost their lives during the protest as they had refused to return home or go to the hospital. We pay our deep homage to those who have died in this struggle.
