| DC Ramban convenes meeting of Zonal, Sectoral Magistrates, police officers | | DC election 6th Phase | |  Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Dec 11: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today convened a meeting of Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates besides concerned police officers deputed for 6th phase of the District Development Council (DDC) election.
Speaking on the occasion DC informed that 6th phase of DDC and Panchayat by- election is going to be held on 13th December in 2 DDC constituencies including Sangaldan and Gandhari.
ADC, Harbans Lal Sharma, Dy. DEO, Lal Chand, ARTO, Shofkat Ahmed and various other senior officers from police and civil administration attended the meeting.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on all the issues including transport, security and communication plan besides departure of polling staff and other issues relating to 6th phase of election process.
DC emphasized upon the Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates and police officers to ensure timely reporting of voter turnout to the election control room besides working in-coordination with each other to make it successful.
He informed that keeping in view winter’s weather conditions the district administration has finalized all the adequate arrangements for the polling.
The polling staff have been trained and deputed to conduct free as well as fair election.
Responding to the issues raised by officers deputed for election in different capacities, DC passed necessary directions to concerned officers to resolve all the issues without any delay.
Whereas the security arrangements have also been put in place to ensure free and fair election besides avoiding any untoward or disturbance during the election process, he added.
He also appealed to the voters to come out and use their franchise in the DDC election for choosing the local level representatives for the betterment of their respective areas. |
