Jammu, Jan 24: NSS unit of Government Degree College R.S. Pura celebrated National Girl Child Day on the theme “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” (Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child) under the guidance of principal of the college, Sunita Sudan and supervision of NSS programme officer, Bindu Kumari.
In this regard an online poster making competition was organized in which 25 volunteers participated and made variously informative posters like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child, Stop Female Foeticide etc. NSS volunteers also interacted with the public of their respective areas and sensitized them about this awareness programme regarding the issue of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
