JAMMU, Jan 29: Chairman OBC Deptt. Pradesh Congress Committee J&K, Suresh Kumar Dogra called on Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Avni Lavasa, the agenda of the meeting was to draw the attention of the officer to the problems of old city especially East constituency like the parking of the vehicles from Panjtirthi to Bikram Chowk, poor drainage systems, the cleanliness of the small and congested streets, many drains of the old city in dilapidated conditions were identified by him to the Commissioner.
The issue of the illegal construction work of the buildings either residential or commercial was also raised by the Congress Leader which is taking place continuously with the connivance of the officials of the JMC, who are in hands in gloves with the violators and contractors. Dogra appreciated the work and honesty of the Commissioner and demanded the completion of work of some drains and lanes of old city.
