New industrial policy will give fillip to employment in J&K: Kavinder | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 29: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta asserted that comprehensive development of Jammu and Kashmir is the priority of Bharatiya Janata Party. In a statement issued here on Friday, the BJP leader said that BJP is focusing on creating robust infrastructure to encourage investors, grow tourism, health and education and creating opportunities for gainful employment. He informed that Rajya Sabha has given nod for Rs 1 lakh crore to rejuvenate local economy and create new employment avenues in 2020-21. He said that the interest shown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in development of J&K is unprecedented as no one in the past has taken so much pain to augment the region with plenty of opportunities. "The new industrial policy to attract investors and corporates will help in giving a fillip to employment. Lucrative environment shall be created to lure and make things conducive for investors", he said adding that progress along with peace is soon becoming part and parcel of life in J&K. "Five medical colleges apart from Ayurvedic Colleges have been set up and other developmental activities include potential hydroelectric projects, fortified road network and plugging of gaps in tourism industry which is the mainstay here", he said adding optimum use of technology is ensured to save resources and time. "J&K Government's SEHAT scheme is unique in the country and has been taken up positively by the people," he said. He also referred to BJP government's initiative in ensuring three-tier Panchayati Raj system, which has empowered people at ground level. |
