Reasi, Jan 29: Placement cell, Govt. General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College Reasi organized an online lecture on “Career Opportunities in J&K Police Department” today. Surjeet Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police was the resource person. Surjeet Kumar is a 2004 batch KPS officer and serving in Reasi as ASP since feb.2021.
Students were made aware about history, hierarchy and different modes of entry into the department of police. Students got detailed information about recruitment procedure, educational qualification and physical standards to join the department.
Students from all streams participated in the online lecture. Dr. Chander Shekhar, Principal, Govt. Degree College addressed the participants and focused on clarity of goals and proper management in life. He also motivated students to explore their innate tendencies to choose a suitable career. The programme was organized by Asstt. Professor Vinay Lata, Department of Psychology and District Coordinator, Psychological Counselling Cell, Dr. Saleem Ahmed(coordinator Placement Cell), Department of Urdu, Prof Bishan Dass (coordinator Career counselling), Department of Dogri. |
