Chenani, Jan 29: Govt. Degree College, Chenani under the auspices of its Science Club started a weekly program on the theme ‘The Education Network’ that emphasizes the integration of project-based learning to stimulate the student interest on the topic at hand. The goal is to create a collaborative, encouraging and rigorous environment that helps students, as both groups and individuals to come to insights and ideas on their own. The first event under the program was entitled ‘The Nobel Prize’ to highlight the life and accomplishments of the Nobel Laureates. The students began by using the information and personality of their choice, prepared lessons and material to showcase a final presentation. This included the content creation, drafts and feedback, writing and building materials (images, infographics, slideshows, etc.). The aim of the series of events under this program shall be to instil teamwork, association, organization and communication, etc. Dr. Pragya Khanna, Principal of the College opined that this activity shall create stronger retention and deeper learning, along with building critical thinking, analysis, and creative problem solving skills. The organizers of the program were Prof. Subhasana Sharma and Prof. Nahila Sujad. |
