| Webinar on “e- counselling programme” held | | |

Jammu, Jan 29: Govt. Degree College Sidhra, under the patronage of worthy Principal Dr. Monika Sharma in collaboration with District Employment and Counselling Centre, Jammu and Career Counselling and Placement cell, Higher Education Department organized one day webinar on “E- Counselling Programme” today under Manodarpan covering the topics “Employment Scenario in J&K and the way forward” and “Career Options After Graduation and Psychometric Tests”.
The webinar commenced with the welcome address by Prof. Mussarat Chowdhary, Assistant Professor Economics.
The first speaker was Dushant Singh, Career Counselling Officer, DECC, Jammu. He shared immensely valuable information regarding registration process for DECC- both online and offline, benefits of getting registered and various self employment schemes.
The next speaker was Shivali Choudhary, Employment Officer, DECC, Jammu. She focussed on various career options after graduation, how to make a choice of right career and ‘Psychometric Tests’ as a tool for making correct career choices.
Closer to the end of the session the students had vibrant discussion and interaction with the resource persons regarding their queries. The session ended with a vote of thanks by Punam Rani, Co-ordinator Career and Placement Cell of the college. |
