| DB grants one month to file status report regarding encroachment in Pahalgam | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 1: A Division Bench of High Court comprising of Chief Justice Pankaj Mithal and Justice Rajnesh Oswal granted one month time to counsel for Pahalgam Development Authority (PDA) a month's time to file status report regarding the outcome of the investigation pursuant to an FIR filed in a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed for quashing of Master Plan 2005-2025 prepared by the Authority.
The Division Bench observed that various compliance reports from time to time have been filed and are on record. The court while referring to a report stated that most of the encroachments have been removed from the area of PDA and the process has been stopped on account of snow during the winter season and necessary steps would be taken to remove the remaining encroachment.
The DB observed that the prayer with regard to the completion of the investigation survives and granted one month time to file status report regarding the outcome of the investigation pursuant to the above referred FIR. |
