Jammu, Feb 1: Registering attempt to murder case against unknown persons for firing on Chairman Parents Association Amit Kapoor on Sunday evening at Greater Kailash area, Gangyal Police have started investigation into the case.
According to sources, Police team headed by SHO Gangyal Raghubir Singh, along with In-charge Police Post, Greater Kailash Rohit Gandhi visited the spot where firing incident took place and a case has also been registered.
“A Police team led by SHO today again visited the spot where incident took place efforts are being made to solve the case earliest. But Kapoor after this incident is not in a position to visit Police station for his statement. We are waiting as and when his statement is recorded, further steps will be taken to reach the culprits”, said a senior Police officer.
The officer said that a case of attempt to murder against the unknown persons who fired upon Kapoor, when he was returning back after hold a meeting at Bari Brahmana.
It is pertinent to mention here that Amit Kapoor is spearheading a full-fledged crusade against private school for looting innocent parents. Yesterday, after attack on him, he indirectly related some incident and had said that he would expose those who were behind his incident through a press conference. |
