JAMMU, Feb 1: A local Court in Samba today convicted a driver and awarded him one imprisonment for rash and negligent driving which had caused death of a lady in 2015. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 3000 on the convict.
Court of Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Samba Madhu Sharma convicted Yudhvir singh R/o. Narianpur Pathankot Punjab Ap India Coloney G.No. 4-B, Teh. & Distt. Pathankot, Punjab for resorting to rash and negligent driving and mowing down a Pedestrian namely Kamal Kour.
The Court after hearing the arguments from the prosecution and the defendant of the accused convicted the driver by awarding him one year in jail, besides imposing a fine of Rs 3000. |
