RAMBAN, Mar 6: Forest Department Ramban in collaboration with Indian Army today organized a plantation drive under JK Green Drive at Panchayat Hochak to improve green cover besides sensitizing the masses about measures necessary to prevent the environment from global warming.
Divisional Forest Officer, Ramban, Dr. Rajan Singh, Range Officer, Altaf Hussain Wani, Sarpanches and Panches, Army personals, students and general public participated in the plantation drive.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajan Singh urged the locals to participate in the plantation drives. He also sought help from PRIs, NGOs and the general public to protect green gold for their next generations just like their own wealth.
In his address, Sarpanch, Teerath Singh lauded the efforts of the Forest Department for putting in strenuous efforts for the success of the plantation drive. |
