JK reports 1965 new positive cases, 136221 recovered so far

Jammu, Apr 22: The Government on Thursday informed that 1965 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19) 789 from Jammu division and 1176 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 154407.Also 08 COVID-19 deaths have been reported, 02 from Jammu Division and 06 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 791 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 242 from Jammu Division and 549 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 154407 positive cases, 16094 are Active Positive, 136221 have recovered and 2092have died; 783 in Jammu division and 1309 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 6919992test results available, 6765585 samples have been tested as negative till 22thApril, 2021.
Till date 1710182 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 77237 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 16094 in isolation and 125081in home surveillance. Besides, 1489678 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 36922 positive cases (including 590 cases reported today) with 5087 Active Positive, 31340recovered (including 333cases recovered today), 495 deaths; Baramulla has 11137 positive cases (including 198 cases reported today)with 1407Active Positive, 9543 recovered (including 46 cases recovered today), 187 deaths; Budgam reported 9313 positive cases (including 68 cases reported today)with 650 active positive cases, 8540 recovered (including 40cases recovered today), 123 deaths; Pulwama has 6563 positive cases (including 62 cases reported today)with 434 Active Positive, 6034 recovered (including 21 cases recovered today)and 95 deaths; Kupwara has 6315 positive cases (including 54 cases reported today), 341 Active Positive, 5875recoveries, 99 deaths; Anantnag district has 5854 positive cases (including 105 cases reported today)with 445 Active Positive, 5308 recovered (including 35 cases recovered today), 101 deaths; Bandipora has 5066 positive cases (including13 cases reported today), with174Active Positive and 4829 recoveries (including18 cases recovered today), 63 deaths; Ganderbal has 5022 positive cases (including 23 cases reported today)with 226 Active Positive, 4747 recoveries (including 22 cases recovered today)and49deaths; Kulgam has 3414 positive cases (including 35 cases reported today)with 440 Active Positive, 2917recoveries (including 12 cases recovered today)and 57 deaths while as Shopian has 2811 positive cases (including 28 cases reported today),129 active positive cases, 2642 recoveries and 40 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 30671 positive cases (including 469 cases reported today) with 3935 active positive cases, 26324recoveries (including 186 cases recovered today), 412 deaths; Udhampur has 5462 positive cases (including 68 cases reported today), 410active positive cases, 4993 recoveries (including 17 cases recovered today)and59 deaths; Rajouri has 4238 positive cases (including 45 cases reported today)with 304active positive, 3877 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today)and 57 deaths; Doda has 3588 positive cases (including 27 cases reported today)with89Active positive, 3435 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today)and 64 deaths; Kathua has 4019 positive cases (including 31 cases reported today), 408 active positive cases, 3555 recovered(including 21 cases recovered today) and 56 deaths; Kishtwar has 2846 positive cases (including 15 cases reported today)with 54 Active Positive, 2770 recoveriesand22 deaths; Samba has 3209 positive cases (including 31 cases reported today)with 310 active positive cases, 2854 recoveries and 45 deaths; Poonch has 2701 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today)with127active positive, 2545recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today)and 29 deaths; Ramban has 2330 positive cases (including 39 cases reported today)with147 active positive cases, 2160 recoveriesand 23 deaths while Reasi has 2926 positive (including 51 cases reported today)with 977 active positive cases, 1933 recoveriesand 16 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 154407 positive cases in J&K, 18012have been reported as travelers while 136395 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing. The bulletin added that there are 1109 COVID dedicated beds, 972 Isolation beds with 6546vacant beds and 137 ICU beds where 62 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 1511 COVID dedicated beds, 1400 Isolation beds where 902 beds are vacant and 112 ICU beds where 82are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 2620 COVID dedicated beds, 2372 Isolation beds with 1448 beds vacant and 249 ICU beds with 144vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
