Mayor, team conducts tour of Municipal land Bandhu Rakh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 26: Continuing his endeavour to provide better development & civic amenities to the people of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation alongwith Baldev Singh Billowaria former chairman Health & Sanitation Standing Committee JMC and also Councillor ward no. 56, Parmod Kapahi Councillor of ward no. 14, Pritam Singh Councillor of ward no. 55, Sardar Paramjeet Singh Pummy Ex. Councillor of JMC conducted an extensive tour of Municipal land situated at Bandhu Rakh near Kunjwani Jammu and laid foundation stone of deluxe toilet complex having separate toilet/bathing units for males & females at the said site. Rajesh Kumar, Executive Engineer, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Assistant Executive Engineer, S. Manjot Singh, Rocky Churia, Junior Engineers and other Supervisory staff of Division IV were also accompanied the Mayor during the tour. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said that due to non existence of any proper public utility, the workers engaged at the said site faces great hardships and after the completion of this vital facility with an estimate cost of Rs 12.17 lacs only the purpose of maintaining proper cleanliness in and around the complex will be achieved. He directed the concerned Engineering wing to complete the work within the stipulated time frame by applying best quality & durable construction material. Besides this, the team also took stock of the other ongoing development works which includes construction of retaining wall as well as laying of crates to protect the land from further washed away especially during rainy season, chain fencing of the whole land to prevent any type of illegal encroachments, construction of sheds for keeping captured stray animals from different wards of the City by the Veterinary Section of JMC and other allied development works.
