Jammu, May 10: On 32nd death anniversary of Babu Milkhi Ram Advocate in a meeting held here under the ages of Dr. Ambedkar Young Blood Welfare Society Ranjeet Pur Gole Gujral Jammu, it was cautioned against disruptive elements and urged to defend sc rights in danger indentify, expose and isolate these forces in the larger interest of the society constitutionally based on the principle of equality and social justice.
The excellent role of Babu ji was also enthusiatically recalled in the uplift and awakening of the weaker sections of the society.
Expressing satisfaction over the socioeconomic transformation to some extent of the scheduled castes, T R Azad, founder of the society said though much has been achieved yet much more is still required to be done for their welfare. He further said, the era of exploitation is over as the constitutional guarantees are there for them to progress and prosper. He further said with pride as to how the great leaders like Babu Milkhi Ram born among the weaker sections of the Society made the backward classes to rise to the positions of importance in the country and to the most coveted positions in the country also.
Sunita Azad also paid glowing tributes to Babu Milkhi Ram and said the departed leader has left indelible mark of public service on the psyche of the public. Babu ji has tirelessly strived for the uplift and emancipation of backward classes and light was also thrown on the different facets of his life by her.
