Jammu, May 10: Dr.Banarsi Lal, Incharge, Senior Scientist-cum-Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has been awarded yesterday with the prestigious “International Outstanding Researcher Award-2021” by the Green Thinkers Z Society on the basis of his outstanding achievements and accomplishments in the field of agriculture. The research panel considered Dr.Banarsi for the coveted award on the basis of his research papers in national and international journals as first author, books as first author, book chapters as first author, success stories as first author, case studies as first author, Radio/TV talks, invited talks, trainings imparted, consultancy services, SHGs/Farmers Clubs managed, popular articles as first author, research and extension technologies refined, developed and disseminated, for organic agriculture, projects handled etc. for the welfare of the farming community. It is worthwhile to mention here that Dr.Banarsi has developed an innovative Mathematical Communication Model which is unique in itself to assess the communication behavior of farmers and has been widely recognized at national and international level. He has also done extensive research work on entertainment farm education, attitude and beavioural measurements of the farmers etc. Dr.Banarsi hails from Kathua district of J&K
