Jammu, May 24: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta has asserted that Bharatiya Janata Party, while standing to its commitment to serve the families of those whose have suffered due to COVID-19 pandemic, continues to reach out to the affected lot in every nook and corner of the Union Territory, irrespective of the fact whether it is rural or the urban area.
Addressing the party cadre while chairing a meeting of the senior Party functionaries, Kavinder impressed upon them to ensure that there is left no stone unturned in fulfilling the party’s commitment to serve the people especially the needy, poor and the COVID-19 victim families in this hour of deep crisis to augment the relentless efforts of the administration to provide succour to the needy in this hour of crisis.
Eulogizing the aims and objectives of the programme ‘Sewa Hi Sangathan Abhiyan’, the former Deputy Chief Minister asserted that the main purpose of this humane endeavour is to ensure that people in distress in the pandemic do not feel alone or helpless. By being there standing with them on ground and serving them provides them tremendous moral and psychological support which is necessary to defeat this deadly Corona virus that has already taken heavy toll across the nation, he added.
The former Dy. Chief Minister asked the BJP workers and activists to provide all possible help to the affected people in this hour of crisis. He asked them to focus their attention on the aggrieved people whose family members are suffering due to this lethal virus. He also urged the party cadre to create massive awareness about the dire necessity to get themselves vaccinated at the earliest besides following with utmost sincerity and strictness the SOPs and restrictions announced by the administration from time to time. He informed that the party is also continuing its endeavour in the direction of free distribution of food to the poor and needy section of the society so that none sleeps hungry in the ongoing unprecedented situation.
