SAMBA, May 24: To ensure strict implementation of Corona curfew and SOPs guidelines issued by Govt in view of Covid-19 pandemic, Samba Police today arrested 5 persons and seized 6 vehicles including a JCB, 4 Dumpers and a Tractor-Trolley across the District Samba .
A Police team of PS Ramgarh while performing routine patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area received an information regarding dumping of clay in the fields nearby village Kajyal, Ramgarh under the cover of darkness, violating the Corona Curfew orders issued by DM Samba.
On this information, patrolling party of PS Ramgarh headed by SHO Ramgrah, Inspr Inder Pal Singh rushed to the spot and apprehended 5 persons along with 1 JCB & 3 Dumpers which were seized on the spot.
The details of the accused persons and vehicles seized included Surat Singh S/o Basant Singh R/o Pakhri, Ramgarh - owner of the land, Maqsood Ahmed S/o Mohd. Sadiq R/o Ranjari - driver of JCB bearing Regd. JK21F-8048, Moti Mohd. S/o Sadiq Hussain R/o Patti Vijaypur - driver of the Dumper bearing Regd No. JK21E-9551, Sohan Lal S/o Shallo Ram R/o Ramnagar Udhampur - driver of Dumper bearing Regd. JK21F-8093 and Rajesh Kumar S/o Puran Chand R/o Ranjari Vijaypur - driver of Dumper bearing Regd JK21F-8308.
Taking cognizance into the matter, a case FIR No. 40/2021 U/S 188/269/270/IPC, 51 of Disaster management Act registered at Police Station Ramgarh and investigation started.
A Police team of PS Samba seized a Dumper bearing Regd No. JK21F-9867 driven by driver namely Rakesh Sharma S/o Bittu Ram R/o Batote, Ramban and seized for illegal mining/transportation of construction material (sand) from Basantar River-Bed Samba and for violating lockdown orders issued by DM Samba.
In this regard a Case FIR No. 175/2021 U/S 188 IPC, 51 of Disaster management Act registered at Police Station Samba and investigation taken up.
Lately, a Police team of PP SIDCO while performing routine patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area, intercepted a Tractor-Trolley having Regd. No. JK21A-5250 being used for illegal transportation of construction material.
The Tractor-Trolley was seized on spot and the case entrusted to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
