Shyama Prasad Mookerjee’s birth anniversary celebrated in Ward No 1

JAMMU, July 6: Deputy Mayor JMC along with her team of BJP members celebrated the birth anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee by conducting plantation drives, encouraging sports over drugs, distributing food supplies and sanitizers.
A programme in this connection was held in Lower Dhountly area of Ward No 1.
Dy Mayor Purnima Sharma on the occasion said that she bows before Dr Mukherjee on his birth anniversary. As a devout patriot, he made exemplary contributions towards India's development.
She further said that he made courageous efforts to further India's unity. His thoughts and ideals give strength to millions across the nation. So today we are celebrating his birthday anniversary by distributing footballs among the kids to encourage them into sports to prevent the young generation from getting into illegal activities like drugs, narcotics etc. Also plantation drive was conducted in which new saplings were planted on the banks of river Tawi.
The program ended with a vote of thanks Rajinder Gupta to all the BJP members and locals who contributed their precious time to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasadh Mukherjee.
