Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 6: The Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) today called on Managing Director (MD), JPDCL Jammu and discussed in detail important points related to work scenario of the field staff.
The delegation under the chairmanship of Sachin Tickoo, General Secretary along with Ashok Kumar Dubey, Vice-President, M. P Singh, Provincial Secretary, Rajeshwar Jamwal, Provincial Publicity Secretary, Yash Paul, Organizing Secretary, Purshotam Sharma and Vipul Sharma Treasurers informed the MD, JPDCL that despite lapse of lean period from October to March for Jammu Province till date none of the points raised by association for smooth working of JPDCL have been addressed.
JKEEGA highlighted the staff strength and the incumbency at various levels; it has been time and again brought to fore the shortage of manpower at ground level.
JKEEGA delegation said that is unfortunate that Board of Directors of JPDCL has till date not dwelled upon the report of the recommendation committee and failed to recommend the staffing requirements as had been mandated by the Govt order No-191 of PDD Dated-23/10/2019.The Divisional and Sub divisional officers are helpless amidst the constraints of staff and have been pressing before the management on this vital issue.
In this context accordingly the association also deliberated the relevant clause/ contents of the Govt order which unbundled the department and created corporations like JPDCL.
JKEEGA vehemently urged the Managing Director JPDCL to convene the meeting of the Board of Directors on the issue and the reorganization/unbundling report submitted by the committee constituted by the Government vide GO no-191-PDD Dated 23/10/2019 so as far as the creation of the posts is concerned strongly be recommended to Government for implementation as being imperative to any turnaround in the Distributions sector.
