PDP can't hoodwink govt by blackmailing, tantrums: Bali Bhagat | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 6: In a rejoinder to PDP's call for boycotting the meeting with Delimitation Commission which is in Srinagar, senior BJP leader and former Minister Bali Bhagat asked the party to stop political blackmailing as this will not make any difference as far as government of India's endeavour to rationalize the Assembly Constituencies in J&K is concerned. In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Bhagat said that being the prime constituent of the People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), PDP has paved way for the fall of the house of cards of the Kashmir-based parties as it showed its real colour of being a party with separatist mindset having no respect for the cause of the nation or its people. He said that the castles which PDP is making in air after saying no to meeting with Delimitation Commission will never become a reality because it is not a meek government of Congress sitting at the helm in Delhi but PM Narendra Modi is currently steering the nation and no entity whatsoever can dent the process of free and fair polls in J&K for which delimiting seats is the first vital step. He said that trend of blackmailing centre through tantrums was the thing of the past which led to tumult and turmoil in J&K but now things have changed and PDP will have to revisit its decisions to remain in politics or else there is only one choice left- 'pack the bags', as already PM Modi has won the hearts of the people by initiating unprecedented development and restoring peace. He said that PDP leaders' credentials are already known to all as still there are some behind the bars for unlawful acts. Bali Bhagat said that whether PDP will meet the aforesaid commission or not the process of delimiting seats will continue and the exercise will be accomplished under the rule of law with no deviations whatsoever. He however maintained that this time Jammu will not be allowed to become a colony of Kashmir as people here are well aware about their rights and are in no mood to get some below the fair deal. |
