JAMMU, July 6: Department of Agriculture Zone Bomal Sub Division Akhnoor organised an awareness camp at Panchayat Jadh in which Sarpanch , Panch and farmers participated. Farmers were made aware about the various schemes of Agriculture department with the emphasis to adopt modern technology , diversification of agriculture etc. The main emphasis was on Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima yojna (PMFBY) in which the crops like paddy and maize were insured with premium of 2000 and 1600 per hectare respectively and sum insured of 1 lakh for paddy and 80000 for maize by IFFCO TOKIO pvt company.
Both loanee and non-loanee farmers will be covered. The farmers appreciated the efforts of Agriculture Department and requested to organize such camps in future.
The camp was organized on the directions of Director Agriculture K. K. Sharma, Chief Agriculture Officer, Jammu A.S.Reen, SDAO Akhnoor S.K.Bhat.
The officers of the agriculture department who delivered lectures included S/Sh Partish Sharma I/c Aeo,Jaswinder Singh JAEO,Parshotam Lal,JAEO, Rakesh Sharma ,Anil Gupta , Vishal Sharma,Vishal Manhas all AEA's and Sarpanch of the area Des Raj and Raman Kumar. |
