| Contractors Association Kishtwar accuses Executive Engineer, AEE of harassment | | |

Kishtwar, July 9: Over two dozen constructors of this district today leveled serious allegations against the Executive Engineer R&B Division Kishtwar and AEE Kishtwar of harassing them and said that they are suffering.
Addressing a press conference, Shakir Siddiqui President Contractors Association Kishtwar said that the contractors are facing harassment due to illegal activities of Executive Engineer Kishtwar. He said the officer is harassing the contractors of the district on one or other pretext and said that despite completing the works in all respects, the officer withholds the bills as a result of which the contractors are suffering due to want of bills.
Shakir said that contractors are suffering financial losses due to the delayed tactics of the Executive Engineer Kishtwar and said that the officer is forcing the contractors to execute the work without technical sanction which at the end of the day made the contractors to suffer. He said that according of technical sanction is the formality to be fulfilled by the concerned department and that the officer in many cases issue retendering of the works where more than 70 percent work has been completed. The contractors threatened to protest in case both the officers are not removed.
