4272 people fined for violating COVID-19 guidelines in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, July 9: As many as 4272 people were fined around Rs 6.5 lakh for violating COVID-19 guidelines during the last 24 hours in Kashmir valley. A police official said that continuing its efforts to curb the outbreak of second wave of Coronavirus during the last 24 hours, police have realized a fine to the tune of Rs 6,41,950 from 4272 people for violating various COVID-19 guidelines in the valley. Besides, he said two vehicles were also seized for violating COVID norms. "The special drive has been launched against the violators of COVID-19 guidelines in all the districts of Kashmir to ensure that people adhere to SOPs envisaged by government to curb COVID-19 pandemic," he said. He said community members are once again requested to cooperate with the Police in containing the spread of Coronavirus by following the SOPs/ guidelines/protocols for their own safety and for the safety of others. "The special drive shall continue throughout the districts of Kashmir Valley to strengthen the safety measures," he added. |
