Court rejects bail of 65 yrs old lady in Rs 34 lakh fraud case | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 9: City Judge Jammu Manjeet Rai today rejected the bail application of 65 years old Daljit Kaur, who was arrested by the Cyber Police in Rs 34 lakh pension fraud case. The Cyber Police has registered a case on the complaint was lodged by Inder Pal Singh, son of Des Raj of House Number 3 State Bank Colony Talab Tillo District Jammu at Cyber Police Station Jammu stating that he was duped by unknown fraudsters on the pretext of buying units of Canadian Pension Fund and convinced the complainant for good returns. Complainant got trapped in the luring offer and consequently lost Rs 34 lakh in consecutive 36 transactions. City Judge Jammu Manjeet Rai after hearing APP Arvind Rathore for the police whereas Adv RS Chib for the applicant observed that Considering the nature and gravity of the accusation, the nature of sup-porting evidence, the manner in which the complainant has been cheated with a figure amount, the reasonable apprehension of tampering with evidence particularly when the further investigation is under progress, I am not inclined to accept the prayer for bail of the applicant. With these observations, the Court rejected the bail application. —JNF |
