JAMMU, July 9: Kotli Colony Welfare Trust met SP HQR Jammu Ramnish Gupta and discussed various issues of people living in adjoining area of border belt area RS Pura, Arnia and Bishnah.
This is a important segment area to administer in Jammu dist and people have issues pertaining to land disputes, domestic violence and other crime issues for which each respective officer is managing.
Datta vividly shared the genuine feedback of people living in such areas and appreciate the sincere working of SHO Arnia Harjeet Singh for his ability to handle and resolve issues at police station level and gave an example of honest policing.
At the same time rise of drug menace cases in RS Pura is a serious concern and although we have seen many seizures and hard action against drug peddlers by concerned police officer but still need a way forward to deal with such peddlers in a more harder way. He also stressed and highlighted the plea of border belt people pertaining to organise police public meeting once in a month in each village to listen and address their genuine grievance pertaining to police authorities. |
